Screen Sections
Header Image
You may create any header image you would like to represent your organization. The dimensions are 780px by 60px. We suggest your header image contains at least your organization's name and logo.
Model Viewer
This allows the user to view and rotate the currently selected floorplan. Once we create the 360 renderings
of a floorplan, our software loads the images and provides the user (your customer) with an interactive 3D
experience.
When the user clicks and drags the mouse within the viewing area, the model of your floorplan begins to
rotate based on the user's mouse motion. Dragging the mouse right-to-left rotates the model clockwise, and
left-to-right rotates counter-clockwise. The faster the user drags, the faster the model rotates. This achieves
a very exciting visual effect while using a simple interface that any user can master within seconds.
In the screenshot on the first page, you'll also notice two small tools in the Model Viewer section. The first is
the Loading Progress tool. As you know, this 3D effect requires the use of 360 individual model renderings --
all of which need to be loaded, as any image on a website must do. This software uses an innovative loading
technique, allowing the user to immediately begin rotating the model. The images load
at 0 ?, 90 ?, 180 ?, and 270 ?, then begins loading in 45 ? increments, then 30 ?, and so on. After these first
few loading passes, the user can begin rotating the model. The rotation effect will continue to get smoother as
more images load.
The second tool in the model loader is the Auto-Rotation tool. Auto-Rotation provides a "showroom" type of
motion that rotates the model in the selected direction and speed. Your customers will appreciate the
opportunity to slowly study every angle of your floorplan without clicking and dragging the mouse each
time.
Side Menu (Overview)
The sections along the right side of the window are displayed as an animated, accordion style menu. This
allows the user to maximize one menu option at a time, permitting the greatest amount of information to be
shown in that section and reducing overall screen clutter. Each section has a scrollbar, so there is no limit to
the amount of information available or quantity of icons.
Details
The details section is used to display information about the selected floorplan. This
section is built to accommodate the floorplan's title, then heading/info pairs for further details. For example,
one heading might be "Price" and the related information could be "$400/mo" or "$1500/semester". Or, a
heading might be "Features" and your information could be several sentences. The details section is
scrollable, so there is no limit to the amount of information you can provide.
Alternate Layouts
Alternate Layouts is a feature for organization who would like to exhibit several furniture arrangements within the same floor plan. For example, if you have a dorm
room with stackable furniture, this section would allow you to show your customers the various ways these furniture pieces can be stacked and positioned. When the user clicks a floorplan image, the current
floorplan is replaced by the selected one, and a new image-loading process begins.
Other Options
This section allows your organization to display several of your available floorplans to your customers in a single
software session. Each alternate floorplan is presented as a small image chosen from its 360 available images.
You may specify which of these images you would like to use as its icon image. When the user clicks a floorplan
image, the current floorplan is replaced by the selected one, and a new image-loading process begins.
